Intermodal Drayage

Acme has facilities strategically located to serve all Chicago-area intermodal yards. The company is a party to the Uniform Intermodal Interchange & Facilities Access Agreement (UIIA), handling both overseas and domestic (Equipment Management Pool -- EMP and UMAX) containers. Services include:

• Import and export capability.

• Day cab and sleeper tractors available.

• Transloading to over-the-road trailers and flatbeds.

• Pre-pull service and secure storage of containers.

• Over-weight, over-dimension container specialists utilizing high-capacity tri-axle and spread-axle chassis.*

• Container consolidation – loading freight from multiple origins into one container for shipment.

• Container break-bulk – freight bound for multiple destinations unloaded, sorted, stored and delivered.

• Live unload and/or drop-and-pull service options available.

• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card qualified drivers.

*Acme will take reasonable steps to ensure heavy containers are moved in compliance with weight regulations. However, in the event Acme and/or its contractors are cited for overweight violations, the CUSTOMER is responsible for ALL costs arising from the violation.
